Clarion West Write-a-Thon 2019 Week Four

As life goes, I am still getting back into the swing of things post-workshop. It’s been hard in some regards but easy in others. (I take a lot of time to adjust.) But for the most part, my mindset has focused back in on work. This week I didn’t get as many words down as I should have, but I didn’t do so for a very good reason. I was hired to begin work on a sensitivity reading project, which is very exciting. Sensitivity reading is one of my favorite things to do. My time has thus been split between SR work and writing, naturally.

That being said I still did manage a good amount of words. I wrote 4,400 words in total. I’m pleased with that! Hoping to raise my wordcount to actually hit 1000 words a day as per my goal now that I am able to focus my energy. I have been working on a small piece I’m writing for pleasure. It’s serving as a refresh before I set in to work on my novel. This piece won’t see the light of day most likely, but that doesn’t matter. Sometimes I really need to just write fun words, let ideas flow, and enjoy myself.

Two more weeks to go! Let’s see how much I can get done in that time. If you want to sponsor me and support Clarion West during the write-a-thon, please check out my profile here. I have tiered rewards for sponsors that are pretty exciting. See you next week!
